Songwriters Workshop
w/ Erinn Brown

Course Description:

Students of all levels of songwriters are welcome, from aspiring songwriters to experienced veterans. You can write your first song in this class, or workshop songs you’re already working on. Erinn Brown will cater the class so that every student gets something meaningful out of it.

About the Teacher:

Erinn Brown is an accomplished singer/songwriter, guitarist & teacher with 4 well-received CDs of original music. Her music is a rootsy hybrid of Rock, Soul, and Blues. STEVE MORSE, longtime Boston Globe reviewer said this about her music; “Sultry funk ‘n’ soul from a singer who knows about the intricacies of the heart. The music stings and heals at the same time.”

Erinn grew up in a musical household playing in jazz band and studying classical voice, which led her to Boston to pursue music. After graduating from Berklee, she sang in rock cover bands while writing her own material. Joining the band, Hunter’s Moon, in 1996 helped her refine her style. She has released four albums: Road Signs to The Sun (1999), Don’t Forget About It (2008), Ruled My Life (2011), and The Sun and The Moon (2024).

Erinn and her band have performed at numerous festivals, including Marblehead Festival, Salem Jazz and Soul Festival, and Hampton Beach Seafood Festival. In 2018, she opened for Sophie B. Hawkins. She continues to perform at popular venues across Massachusetts and has built a fan base from Washington, D.C. to Maine.
